So, I know it has been awhile, I am not so good at this blogging thing I guess. But since I have posted a lot has happened. Both Emma and I had a birthday, we traveled to Spokane to visit with my brother who just returned from his mission and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our Family. It has been almost a month since Emma turned one and I have really begun seeing how much my little baby isn't really a baby anymore. So to make a really long few months short, I will just tell you what she has learned the past 13 months.
-not only is she walking but she is running everywhere
-she climbs on everything. She can climb on a chair and then onto the counter in like 10 seconds. I really have to keep my eye on her.
-she eats seriously everything, well except for broccoli and green beans. Her favorite veggie is peas. She grabs them in handfuls and shovels them into her mouth. Her favorites are fishy crackers, marshmallows and tons of water. She will not drink milk but loves string cheese and yogurt.
-she can do animal sounds for a cow, kitty, horse, elephant, frog, lamb, chicken, monkey and lion.
-she can say Mom, Dad, Grandpa, ball, binkie, blankie, juice, Jesus, cheese, more, popcorn or pop pop, Noah (from her Noah's arc set,) baby, and when you point to pictures of our family she can usually name who they are.
-she absolutely loves the outside. If I leave a jacket lying around the house she will find it and bring it to me and want me to put it on so she can go outside.
-she loves to give hugs, especially to other little kids. If they don't see it coming she has a tendancy to knock them over while doing it.
-She loves to read. She spends about an hour in the morning either bringing me books to read to her or reading them herself. Thanks Aunt Wendy for all of the fun books!!!
-She is an amazing sleeper. We sing a song and say prayers and she cuddles up with her blankie and never makes a sound. At least when we are at home, when we are away it takes a few days for her to get used to the pack and play.
Well i think that is enough for now. I will have to post pictures of her and her birthday next. I made a really cute chocolate cake with pink cream cheese frosting and marshmallow flowers on top. It turned out really cute and she LOVED it! She loved opening presents and can't wait til Christmas to open more.
